HOW PSYLLIUM WORKS

Psyllium.
Plant-based fiber.

Psyllium is a soluble, gel-forming fiber from a plant.

When mixed with water, it absorbs liquid and expands into a soft gel. This physical property is behind many of the effects scientists have studied — including digestive regularity, cholesterol and the blood-sugar response after meals.

And with FiberBoom, 10g is already built into one bar.

One delicious bar. 10g of psyllium husk.

Give it time — your body might need a few days to adjust to psyllium.

THE SCIENCE

One fiber.
Several well-studied effects.

Psyllium has been studied for decades. Instead of simply telling you that fiber is “good for you,” here is what the research actually shows.

01 / THE RESEARCH

Constipation

Psyllium absorbs water and increases the water content and volume of stool, helping support normal bowel movements.

More frequent bowel movements than with docusate, a stool-softening medicine.

McRorie et al., 1998 · 170 adults with chronic idiopathic constipation · 5.1g psyllium twice daily vs 100mg docusate twice daily · 2 weeks. Week 2 means; p = 0.02. This was not a no-treatment comparison.

02 / THE RESEARCH

Cholesterol

Psyllium’s gel-forming fiber can reduce the reabsorption of bile acids, which is one reason it has been studied extensively in relation to cholesterol.

Psyllium lowered LDL (“bad”) cholesterol across 28 controlled trials.

03 / THE RESEARCH

Blood sugar

The gel created by psyllium can slow the movement and absorption of nutrients from food.

People with type 2 diabetes had lower blood sugar after breakfast — and a lower peak — during psyllium treatment.

Fullness

Because psyllium absorbs water and expands, researchers have also investigated whether it can increase feelings of fullness after eating.

People felt fuller and less hungry after breakfast with psyllium taken before meals, compared with placebo.

Higher means fuller: −14.9 is higher than −21.7. These are averages over 4.5 hours after breakfast, not hourly readings.

WHY FIBERBOOM?

All the psyllium.
A much better experience.

Loose psyllium husk can make a thick, gritty drink that is hard to enjoy. You measure it, mix it with water and rush to drink it before it thickens.

We wanted the benefits of psyllium without that experience.

So FiberBoom puts 10g of psyllium husk — roughly two spoonfuls — into one bar that actually tastes good.

No measuring. No mixing.
No thick psyllium drink.

And we kept the rest simple too:

Low carb. Zero sugar. Natural ingredients.

HOW TO EAT FIBERBOOM

Start with
one bar per day.

FiberBoom contains 10g of psyllium husk, so one bar is the intended daily serving.

Eat it with a generous glass of water, and make sure you’re drinking enough fluids throughout the day.

If you don’t normally eat much fiber, start gradually and give your body time to adjust.

One bar a day. Always with water.

FAQ

Questions?

How much psyllium is in one bar?

Each FiberBoom bar contains 10g of psyllium husk — roughly two spoonfuls.

How many bars should I eat?

Start with one bar per day. One bar is the intended daily serving.

Should I drink water with it?

Yes. Psyllium absorbs water, so enjoy FiberBoom with a generous glass of water and stay well hydrated during the day.

Does one bar contain all the fiber I need?

No. One FiberBoom bar provides 10g of psyllium husk, making a substantial contribution to your daily fiber intake. Fiber from a varied diet remains important. Psyllium husk weight is not the same as total dietary fiber; check the nutrition label.

Why psyllium rather than another fiber?

Psyllium is unusual because it forms a viscous gel when it absorbs water. This property is behind many of its best-studied effects.
